Week 8
Your embryo is now called a foetus, meaning “little one.” It has grown to approx 1.5 cm and your uterus begins to expand to house this little one. Not only are your foetus’ organs, muscles, and nerves growing, they are also beginning to function! Your foetus has wrists that bend, and feet are developing toes. Eyelids are also forming. The heart is beating quite fast at 150 beats per minute! You will notice your body starting to change as well, your breasts may have grown, and you may have filled out a larger bra size. Your waist may become more solid, and clothes may begin to feel a little tighter around the midriff. It is very important to start drinking more water at this time, 8 to more glasses a day.
